I'm not sure. I know a couple like that, though. My guess is they wouldn't consider it a straight relationship, because they like everything they do to be in some unique category. I love 'em to death (well I don't really know one of them super well, but known the trans man of the relationship for years and years) but I dunno why they can't just allow something about them to be common term, because I feel bad I never remember what's going on. >_>

I've met a couple like that, but even weirder.
A male to female, and a female to male who changed back half way through transitioning.

I'm being thorough. A trans woman is a woman, a trans man is a man. Ergo, straight relationship. But people in straight relationships can be bisexual.

I am probably not the phoenix you think I am since I was never active on CE back then. Anyway

I find your criteria extremely shallow and legally ridiculous. There needs to be some way to define man and woman objectively and without it being subject to infinite interpretation.

Why not?

We define everything else, why should this be different?

Our species has always had a male and female gender. It is only natural to define them accurately.

you didn't answer my question. why does any definition of male and female have to be so rigid as to disallow interpretation?

also, what about the numerous other genders that have also always existed in our species?

You don't know what's in the pants of any given transgender person, so you can't really make that call. That's also boiling attraction down to nothing but genitalia.

Idk man, that kinda sounds like "You are straight if you're sexually attracted to Buck Angel because he has a vagina." I think it's overly simplistic to boil it down to what's between your legs.

And not one bit of actual scientific evidence. There isn't a single scientific study done by any reputable organization that comes to the conclusion that there is more then two genders. Human beings have two genders. Male and female. That's it.

I really don't understand this if push for unlimited genders. That isn't going to help trans rights, only hurt them, because the people that could eventually get on board with someone thinking they are the opposite gender will never support you are whatever you feel like being at any given time. The best thing trans people can do for themselves is denounce and distance themselves from the "gender fluid" and unlimited gender people. Because actual science doesn't support more then two genders or switching between depending on your mood.

Thats odd since gender is a social science and there is plenty of evidence to indicate otherwise. As far as sex goes, there are cases outside of male and female as well - and thats science science (I.e. Bio).

Someone being born with both parts doesn't mean they are a third gender. It means things got fucked up when they were developing in the womb. That isn't supposed to happen, it certainly isn't their fault, but they are abnormal as that is not what is normal for humans. Same as if someone was born with 11 fingers. It's not normal for that to happen. That doesn't mean that oh I guess we can't say for sure how many fingers humans are supposed to have. No, it just means during development something went wrong.

I also find it hilarious that the 'there are more then two genders' people keep saying over and over again that there is "plenty" of evidence to "prove" this, yet in all of those hundreds of posts the only "evidence" I have ever seen posted was a Wikipedia article. One that could have just been written by one of the people here for all we know.
