Depends if you're the kind of person who sits there listening for hours non-stop, or if you constantly take them off/put them on/listen to music/take calls/etc. I find my Airpods to be great but then I rarely sit still listening to music the whole time - if I am going to do that I switch to my proper wireless headphones (QC35s).

eh? Has that strategy of doing no "study" outside of paying attention in class worked well for you?

I would consider "study" to be an all encompassing term beyond just reading over notes - i.e. it includes writing practice essays/past papers, writing your own notes, researching additional material, etc.

Some classes use a flipped classroom type format where you have to watch a lecture recording of the material before attending class.

Wow... that's interesting. Must be a modern thing since in my time we had to attend the lectures before going to the class. The only other preparation would've been either finishing tutorial activities or doing the required readings before class (and it was really obvious if someone hadn't).
