They wont make that much in a couple years when its not in constantly.

It's one of the most watched shows on Earth still. The syndication brings in more money ($1 billion a year) than most of their new stuff including DC stuff.

That's why AT&T just paid $425 million to reaquire the rights to stream it on HBO. And they already own the series. The actors will be banking for years.

They were making a million per episode by the end of the show, so this doesn't really surprise me.

Itll always be syndicated, but right now its on 24/7, between tbs and nick and nite and fox and whatever else its on

It's funny that going for movies is like the more esteemed thing for actors to chase. If an actor is a main cast member on a successful TV show that goes into syndication they seem to basically be set for life with a constant income. Isn't Jerry Seinfeld gonna be a billionaire after the Netflix deal?

Of course the far majority of shows never reach those heights but damn if it works out it really works out. I'm guessing all of those Chuck Lorre shows still rake in a shitload of money for their cast members too. I wonder how it works out for those quieter hits like The Middle.

AT&T just paid over a billion to secure HBO streaming rights, and it's yet another show created by WB/AT&T. Safe to say they see even more worth in that than even Friends.
