16 y/o Channing Smith from Tennessee fatally shot himself in the head after a GIRL whom he was friends with OUTED him online as GAY and now his family wants justice against those responsible for his death!!

The girl shared the messages he had with another boy that were sexually explicit on Snapchat and Instagram..

38 y/o Joshua, Channing's older brother believes there was a disagreement with a girl hours before he died and she retaliated by sharing messages online he had with another boy and outed him as gay.

Josh said he believed Channing saw messages online and took his own life and said the DA of the state said they would NOT pursue charges against the girl

Now the family fear they may not get justice and are speaking out on the dangers of cyber bullying

Joshua, who now lives in Kentucky told Dailymail "On behalf of our family,we will all agree that our first step is to find forgiveness in our hearts to the guys and girls who did this.We want to see some action taken to show other kids that there are repercussions for their actions. We don't think kids should be brought up on murder charges but there is harassment and manslaughter, there are different levels that could happen"

Channing was a Junior at Coffee Country Central High School and only confided into a few people he was gay or bisexual but NOT to his family

Joshua said the sexually explicit messages were shared by the female friend after they had a "fight" and said "I'm twice Channing's age and i couldn't imagine if the whole world in an instant knew, i would want to tell on my terms". They would have accepted Channing no matter what and are distraught that they had to find out this way

Channing had no history of depression or mental health issues that would have caused him to take his own life

He was about to celebrate his 17th birthday in November as his father bought him his first motorcycle and was described as the sweetest kid ever.

Joshua recalled how his dad called him to say he found Channing in his room dead after shooting himself and said he fell to pieces and drove straight down there as he began to investigate what lead to the death and found out it was because of this

DA Craig Northcott was criticized earlier this year for saying he DIDN'T recognize gay marriage and WOULDN'T prosecute same sex domestic violence and told Joshua it would take at least 30 days to decide if they would press charges before deciding not to

Channing was planning to become an engineer who loved the keyboard and guitar.
