Hot take:

I really like how ellie is being treated in last of us 2. She is into other women, obviously, but it isn't her most defining characteristic or even one of them.

Creating multidimensional lgbtq+ characters always seems the way to go for my personal taste.

Is Boogie2988 right about girls in video games are more attractive when they're 3D+ lgbtq+?

A straight character is flat and one-dimensional: *crickets*

A gay character is flat and one-dimensional: "This is awful. You're just adding gay characters for no reason but to be PC. This character's sexuality is their defining point and you are just pandering. Why do gay characters have to be added to games who are just there to be gay."

Seriously sometimes a gay character can be flat and one-dimensional and it's ok. Not every gay character needs to be layered, just like not every straight one does.
