Like I get my Masters in June 2020. Does that mean I can refer to myself as an academic? Or do you need to be a professor or a fellow or something to get to use that word?

Isn't the minimum a ph.d? On a related note I had to let someone go on Monday who has a master's. Kind of sucked. Glad I don't have to do it often.
