85 y/o Nina Zarocostas from Kentucky is suing Banana Republic and its parent company Gap Inc claiming she was discriminated against because of her age and disability and treated like s*** by her 29 y/o SUPERVISOR!!

The mother and grandmother from Lexington filed the complaint on Sept 16 and named her former employer Andrea Moberly, the GM of the Banana Republic store at Fayette Mall where she worked for 13 years after getting the job at 72 YEARS OLD!!..

She was hired as a salesperson at the store as she was described as a "striking brunette" with a taste for bold makeup and leopard print outfits and distinguished herself as a top salesperson who sold millions of dollars worth of products before she was cruelly discriminated and retaliated against by Andrea that forced her out

She consistently met her sales goals and reached high levels in the Banana Republic Platinum Circle and also got awards as a "steller employee"

But when she turned 80, she got a permanent disability beause of arthritis and she needed rest breaks

At first they accomodated her but it got worse and she brought in letters from doctors stating for each hour of work, she needed 10 minute restedbreaks

Management accomodated it and she continued to "thrive" as she planned on staying for YEARS after that.

But then Andrea Moberly came on board in 2018 and the 28 y/o didn't like that an ELDERLY person was taking breaks and working at the store as the lawsuit states she made her life working there a living hell and that forced her out after banning the 10 minute breaks and slashed her work hours which eventually left her with 2-3 hour shifts a week and a younger woman replaced her

Nina suffered humiliation and anxiety and distress with chest pains from the torture. She said as a disabled 85 y/o woman, Andrea made her feel shameful by the big changes she made and is suing for age discrimination, harassment, retaliation, negligent hiring, training and supervision and is seeking damages.

Dailymail tried reaching out to Andrea but she declined to comment

Sounds like they accommodated the hell out of her but when she became unproductive they replaced her without straight out dismissing her entirely. I dont know the laws in Kentucky but in California she wouldve been fired long ago.
