Well talk about it more when my husband gets home today. I am leaning towards quitting Monday morning though. Awesome! The amount of stress you've posted about isn't healthy for anyone. It is seriously something very minor, nothing was on fire, but he went nuts that I didnt do it immediately when he asked me. Its not like he gave me some specific timeline or said it was urgent. Yesterday I got crapped on for escalating a situation where another sales person tried stealing my client for the third time. We escalated this same client a month ago and she was told to back off. Then she went behind my back yesterday and tried to take them. When I escalated it I was told to be an adult and grab the phone and talk to her and got totally berated via email. Ive already talked to her and she pretends the conversation never even happened. Chick is legit nuts. But Im the one who is wrong somehow I should have listened to all the people who told me this company is toxic. Theyre a big name and I thought it was worth having it on my resume. Its just tricky because my preference is to go where my boss is going but hes not starting for a few weeks. He said he would be able to hook me up with a solid offer though and possibly better title. And it would be a full time job with benefits I need. This one is a contract job. But I wont really know anything until he starts. And nothing is ever real until its on paper. I still really like this other company though. I dont want to lose out on this either so hopefully they will give me enough time to decide. And Im still considering my last company. Even though my husband supports me now and says well make it work, I cant help but feel horrible about walking away from a lot of money. Unfortunately I only have a few days to decide (they didnt want to give an extension) and the other opportunities Im contemplating are still early phases. Its a lot of money and a great place but my preference would be any of the other 2 Im in process with. The other option I have is that my old boss is joining another company in a few weeks and he essentially told me he would hire me on his new team in a heartbeat and already has the headcount. He just needs to start first. This is my preference because I know we made a great team and this company has amazing benefits. So at least I will get paid while doing very little as I transition things. Ill be paid out my vacation time as well which is another week.
