I don't think he hates Goku, if anything he has some degree of anger towards Vegeta for his father's actions. He is ultimately deceived into fighting by Frieza.

No hatred for Goku, he hates Vegeta because that's how his father raised him and he was yeeted to an inhospitable planet because Vegeta (the king) thought he would be a menace to Vegeta (the planet) though that might just have been because he was jealous Broly was stronger than Vegeta.
