mentally and/or emotionally I haven't really changed much since I was like 15. I have seen little kids grow up and surpass me. one of my cousins used to be this little brat I knew. and now he's turned into a cool guy as an adult and he is all mature and has a job and a fiance and shit. someday it will happen with my nephew too. he's 11 and like 10 years from now I bet he will be more mature and successful than I am

i'm like a vampire that lives through history watching generations come and go but always stuck myself in an unchanging nature. it's a weird life. but it's all I know

I don't even look like I aged at all besides getting a bit more out of shape. I'm almost 40 now and I still get carded at every over 21 place I go

Plenty of people with autism have normal lives and live independently. It makes it harder but not impossible

I constantly allow change to disrupt my life because it would be very mundane if I didn't. I've never been on the spectrum though and I know shifting circumstances can shock those on it but is it at least possible to build a tolerance to it like a muscle, starting small before moving into more substantial shifts?
