There are lots of Grand Prix F1 and Indy Car race fans out there and maybe here too. And some or many of them look down on oval track races like Nascar because it's so boring watching cars go round and round an oval. But anyone else feel the F1, Indy Car and sports car road tracks are kind of boring too for the same principle?

Even with all their turns the road tracks are like 50-70 laps of the same 5-8 km or 3-4 mile track. With all of today's technology they can't have a race from one city to another for at least 200 km in moderately populated areas. And not even 50 km. Too many hazards and public safety issues unless of course it's out in open areas which I address below.

They have long road races from one town to another in some countries if it's out in the open space areas. Usually with dune buggy style vehicles. But from my research there are accidents with civilians. Many times civilians will try to illegally join the road track race and "compete" with the registered racers. Which leads to incidents. So I guess those kinds of races will never be allowed in more populated areas. Kind of sad.

Heh, not sure where you're going with this. But I appreciate the effort.

Too each their own. U personally only play The Crew games as far as racing goes. And I think the giant diverse map plays a big part in my interest. I like how you can just drive across anything. Flying was unnecessary tho imo.
