You go to work one day, walk past a sign apologizing for maintence wok meaning all the security cameras will be down for the day, then put your delicious lunch in the fridge.

Then later you come to get it and find it has gone. You look around and most of your collegues are eating, you have no idea who took it.

This happens to me fairly often at work. It's infuriating, and I can never catch who it is.

Management claims the camera in the break room doesn't work, so there's no way I can really figure it out.

I ask around see if I could figure it out. If not I bring my lunch the next day and have it be full of laxatives.

I'll bring a second lunch, which I'll actually eat. Then we'll see who has digestion issues.

Train my palate for considerably hot food (not quite hot enough that it could potentially land someone in the hospital mind you) and then start making spicy lunches for myself so that I'll have plausible deniability because I'll be seen by coworkers enjoying spicy lunches on a regular basis until the day the food thief has a lapse in judgment.
