Yeah, sounds about right. The carceral state has long been advancing the idea that non-citizens do not have rights: it is already common, for example, to deny detained immigrants access to a lawyer(they are typically held in remote areas and are not given access to public defenders).
Coincidentally(I'm sure), the current administration is champing at the bit to restrict access to citizenship.

They needed a warrant to enter property, homes or cars.

That might sound like a technicality but it's serious.

Hence that whole incident where ICE agents stood around a car and told the illegals to get out for 20 minutes but they didn't so the agents couldn't do shit.

Maybe someone who is more of an expert on this can correct me if I am wrong but has ICE ever needed a warrant to arrest people? This isn't a change, this is the status quo

This. It's hilarious people think that just giving someone some guns means they automatically become this uber superhuman guerrilla fighter, real life doesn't work that way. The North Vietnamese Army which did most fighting compared to the often times ineffective Viet Cong wouldn't have been able to hold out against the US if it weren't for generous material and financial support from the Chinese and Soviets.

In ICEs case, their probable cause will be arresting folks based on their skin color.
