Topic will obviously contain sudden spoilers for franchises. you have been warned

one that springs to mind is the Star Trek one where they go "This research will save billions of people but to do it we will have to relocate 100 people "

and the heroes go "forced relocation is wrong no matter the numbers. We need to kill those billions of people so Pete gets to keep his garden"

they even pull the slippery slope fallacy of "if we do this what's to stop relocating a million people to save 20!" and its just dumb and badly written

and I like yeah its horrible and wrong but... it's so overwhelmingly the correct thing to do. If i was one of those 100 I'd be happy to relocate because I have a soul.

Invader Zim. Dib isnt unlikeable or anything, I just like Zims zaniness more. Earth also has exaggerated stupidity in the show so its easier to root for Zim to destroy it.

He was an asshole the moment he wrote Lind L Taylor's name in that damn book. It may go back to the time he starts killing criminals who are already in jail. I'll forgive him the first couple names, because he could reasonably assume it was a joke. After that, nah.

to be fair I don't think the institute are supposed to be straight villain . they are morally ambiguous
