Thinking about using it for a sword name. I'm designing for a fantasy novel I'm writing. But its withiout the S. The sword has the power to let the weilder create mini universes at will to uses as special attacks. But that is its ultimate power. It has two other powers. One to let the user to control light during the day. And darkness at night. So would my user name make a decent sword name? Or a crappy one?

If not then what would make a good sword name for my novel?

1.

Swords are a warriors tool and will carry a name personal to the warrior that wielded it originally.

The high fantasy name tropes are just blech.

That and something more personal and less literal will be a bit more intimidating than something that sounds like a kid picked it.

Using your name to describe it, however, would be pretty choice. "...a blade of cosmic shadow".

Edit: as far as what to go for for a name, consider the original wielder whether its your main character or some other character, and get into their headspace. What would they name it?
