So this may be my new number 1 Zelda game when I am done but past games always did something I hate.

Without giving any spoilers, what happens when you beat the game? Does it just reload your last save before the final boss or is there actually an end game?

Also I just finished up in Rito Village and now I am trying to get into Gerudo Town. Only beat 1 Beast so far

After you beat the final boss, if you reload your file, it drops you right outside the final boss trigger. It also puts a star by your file.

There is a little bit of content post-final boss, but very very little. Specifically, you can earn medals for defeating all of the minibosses around the map.

I think that's it. Not really a post game to speak of, but it does technically have one, even if the story progress stays immediately before engaging the final battle.

I miss having actual dungeons too much to put it in my top zeldas.

The shrines just feel like a mobile game to me

It asks to save after the ending and then lets you reload as if you haven't beaten the final boss and goes into a very minor post-game.

It's essentially the same thing the other games do but the after-ending save adds a few things to track completion (such as a map percentage, keeping track of which overworld boss monsters you beat previously, how many quests you finished compared to how many are available total).

So it's kind of a post game but not really?

Does the game act like you never beat the final boss?

Yeah, there really isn't much of a post-game, even "Destroy Ganon" isn't listed as Completed

Come to think of it, this is one thing the sequel could improve on. Give us a proper post-game! If we want to beat the final boss again just give us a boss rush. And a theater if we want to see the ending again.

I love how the Divine Beasts are actually roaming and can attack you if you get close. So far I have seen the bird and the Camel but I am assuming the other two are also somewhere in the world?

I'm surprised you didn't find Vah Ruta first, since that's the one closest to the main story path and the game clearly considers it the "first" Divine Beast (even though you can do them in any order)

There's no end game. You get dropped right before the PONR and have to leave Hyrule castle to do anything else.

I made my way to the Ritos immediately since I loved Ritos in Wind Waker and irrc this is the first game they are in since. Did the major story missions and will go back to do the other stuff too.

Found Gerudo Village on the way to the Ritos so I figured I would do that next. Gonna head to the Volcano after because I dont care for the Gorons, and finish with the Zora because they dope too and gotta finish on a high note lol

don't forget to take the Champion gifts into consideration when deciding which order to clear the DBs

I find Mipha's Grace to be most helpful when you;re just starting out and could use the extra healing
Urbosa's Fury makes fighting Talus and Hinox enemies trivial
the other two are kinda "meh", although Revali's Gale is good for getting to higher ground when you don't have much stamina

No clue what the others do (and dont wanna know) but as someone who climbs every tall object I see, Revali is very helpful

Tips for fighting Lynels:

1. Have plenty of arrows
2. Get a headshot (more like a faceshot, really)
3. Mount the Lynel while stunned
4. Get in as many hits as you can with your strongest weapon (this will not reduce durability)
5. Repeat until dead

If you have Stasis+, all the better

then maybe TC should stop posting
besides, basic advice isn't really the same thing as spoilers unless you're super-picky, in which case why keep posting

then there's the fact that there's really nothing much to spoil

Free the Divine Beasts
Destroy Ganon
Save Zelda

that's literally the entire plot

Hey, just think, when you learn more of the game and get better at combat, you can make Lynels your playthings.
