most of my jobs were temp jobs so i never really had to give 2 weeks.

the one non temp job i had that i quit was because i was fed up with management. they were firing people left and right, accusing them of things they clearly didn't do, or just suspend them over and over until they quit on their own, while managers were telling the people who had to pick up their work that "i dunno they just wanted vacation"

when i noticed they were doing the same to me (they accused me of hiding information on computers and took my computer away and didn't let me use my own computer, instead forcing me to use a laptop with their spyware on it), i gave them a week's notice cuz fuck em. im done on friday. bye.

i looked up the people there and everyone is gone, and the boss who was firing people is no longer with the company. gee i wonder why

I quit my Home Depot job one day at the beginning of my closing shift. They had been dicking me around, dangling full time in my face, giving me shit shifts like 6pm to 10pm, etc. One day I was driving in and just got it in my head to quit, so i walked through the door, turned in my keys then walked right back out. It felt GREAT.

And no, you don't HAVE to give a two week notice, especially if you don't plan to put that job on your resume.

As a network engineer, nobody gives a shit that I quit my job at TJ Maxx without a 1 day notice in the mid 2000s or told my boss at MCI I quit and then walked out.
