I'm gonna have to go with Slayer.
Even though I have very little interest in anything they've done for years now, Show No Mercy to Seasons in the Abyss was the greatest run of albums in the history of metal. --- Save for your doomed future ... Copied to Clipboard!

I said Slayer but since a bunch of other people mentioned multiple I'm going to as well. Exodus, Overkill, Dimmu Borgir, Devildriver, PM5K, Old Man's Child.
It's cool to see some other bands I haven't listened to before, though. Metal is broad as fuck. --- All generalizations are false, including this one. ... Copied to Clipboard!

I'm gonna have to go with Slayer. The run Opeth had from Morningrise to Watershed is unparalleled imo. 8 straight solid albums over a 12 year period, 9 albums if you consider Orchid to be great. To be perfectly honest I prefer Orchid to Morningrise but most people arent as fond of Orchid. ... Copied to Clipboard!

Bolt Thrower deserves a mention too. My only problem with Bolt Thrower is that beyond their early albums, a lot of their stuff kind of blends together to me. That said they're so consistently good at that sound that it doesn't really matter. --- Meow! ... Copied to Clipboard!
