I woke up all twisted around in my bed and I couldnt feel my phone in the area so I started to really panic because I didnt know where the light switch was.

Its rare that I get a chance to sleep while its full dark so this really messed with me.

I have glow in the dark tape I use for certain places.
For instance, there is a bit near the doorknob of my bedroom door, so I know where it is when my cat wants to go out at some random time.

Not gonna lie I was considering one after that. I might look into the glow in the dark tape though, sounds pretty cool.

Ya it's useful.
It gives you something to aim for, or where to avoid..whichever the case may be.
It's inexpensive and can save you some hassle.

Oh and ya, I was on overnights for a long time, and still trying to get used to it.
Sleeping in full dark is still something of a novelty to me, when it happens.

Man now I cant get to sleep because I keep thinking back to how panicked I felt and my mind is like what if it happens again?

I got my phone in arms reach but its not enough. Did I somehow give myself night terrors? I love the night and go for late night walks.

I second the glow tape. I bought a roll of glow-in-the-dark, circular stickers and put them on my fuse box and the corners of my bed where I used to stub my toes. It was one of the best purchases I've ever made.
