"Greatest" is arguable, as one could say that the most talented all-around athlete is the greatest athlete, and that changes a lot. Though Barry Bonds is the only member of the 500-500 and 400-400 club for home runs and stolen bases, so that says something for his all-around talent.

Yeah lots of non baseball watchers always spout off on the steroid stuff all the time and fail to realize that Bonds was an easy first ballot player without the seasons after 2000. Greatest hitter of all time tbh.
