I think that I've only seen the first episode, but wasn't sure on whether I should continue

i'm on episode 11, it hasn't really changed up so far

villain type character at the end of the episode, or midway, MC deep breathes after struggling for some reason, cleaves head off of them, they have some aspect of their former lives as human at the last second and MC moves on to the next area. Hasn't really changed up. I've been watching all day today too.

The animation is great and beautiful, the story is your run of the mill shonen, there is nothing exciting or new about it, trust me. Characters aren't very unique and you will struggle to remember their names due to how Japanese they are, but most of them haven't really done anything long lasting so you're justified to forget their names, in comparison to One Piece where most characters are important.

It's standard anime stuff but it gets pretty exciting as the main character fights stronger enemies and side characters show up. Then he's attempting some types of strategy at least and fights are several episodes long. It all looks beautiful so that's a nice perk too.

Also by episode 11 you've only seen like 3 monsters of the week.

the series is fun, and i get the pacing is slow considering its like 26 eps or so, but so far i've been waiting 2-3 weeks to actually watch the episodes because of how stuff progresses...

Like you said, get sent to kill demon, find demon, fight demon, kill demon, all of that usually happens in 2-3 eps and everything before the actual fights is either a comedy skit, a flashback, or just a drag to watch.

ep 19 was amazing but its literally just the last 5 mins of the episode that are amazing.

Also for fuck sake i hate that lightning samurai kid god he's annoying.

and 100% on the demon part. Take a sip every time a demon gets killed in the episode its officially introduced, or at the end of the next episode
