Watched episode 1.

Seemed alright, but the way he got powers just came out of fuckin nowhere. Like, bam! He's suddenly in some limbo place to get powers, with no build up or reason or anything. Felt really awkward.

I finished it. It wasn't that great lol. Ending was pretty weak. Some cool action scenes here and there but nothing compared to The Raid

Yeah it's kinda dumb lol. Their reasoning was because he was worthy/pure with his conviction to not kill but then they're like YOU MUST KILL THE WU

I should have listened, watched 3 episodes with the wife. Action is top notch, acting and the rest is bad and cheese.

She likes it though, but she's not very critical at all when it comes to stuff like that.

I'm probably not going to finish it, there's nothing likable about the lead character and the small bits of action aren't enough to hold me in I don't think.

Yeah. I'm glad Iko Uwais is branching out more to the western scene but this show won't be doing him any favors. His English is a lot better than what I expected coming from the Raid but I think he should stay to action movies and not drawn out stuff like this.

I like it.

It's not Casablanca but I was just expecting some good action and ridiculous shit.

Plus the bald monk played Kung Lao in MK Legacy.

And anything with Tommy Flanagan gets my attention.

Yeah I love Tommy Flanagan ever since I saw him on Sons of Anarchy. Kathryn Winnick also.

If anything, I hope the show gives some of the Asian actors more opportunities in the west and not just kungfu stuff. The dude who plays Lu Xin looks like he could be a stud

Yup, Lewis Tan is a stud.

Katheryn Winnick was great in it too. She was one of my main choices for Captain Marvel. Would have also made a great Black Canary.
