Master_Bass 08/07/19 3:49:40 PM #14:	With so much effort involved, we were thinking that perhaps Ogawa agreed to forge the real-world sakabato as a labor of love saluting his personal favorite anime/manga, but he surprised us by saying that prior to taking on the contract to make the Sakabato Shinuchi, hed never read nor watched Rurouni Kenshin. Ilya's not Japanese, but he is a very talented bladesmith who knows his stuff, and is also very obsessed with Japanese culture and history, especially that which involves Japanese weapons and weapon making. his work on this blade in particular is very intricate, detail-oriented and pretty historically accurate (except for use of modern equipment like power hammers, obviously). Personally, I'd rather buy the Sakabato from Ilya. You'd get it in a reasonable amount of time, and shipping from the USA and made in the USA.
