Voice acting was dece although you can't beat Jeremy Irons as Scar. For the most part the minor changes were tasteful and either added to or fixed things about the original. Don't know why Rafiki was mostly cut from the movie though. Main complaints I heard is that it was basically a lazy cash grab/shot for shot recreation of the original but what the fuck were people expecting? If they made an entirely different movie people would have bitched even more about it using the "Lion King" name. You might not see this in your friends and associates, but clearly the box office does. I think the original is beautiful, I think the remake is fine. The star scene was great, the hyenas were better, Simba/Nalas relationship was better, and the jungle scenes were extended. For a cash grab, they put some serious levels of work into the animation and got some top celebrities.
