Former Saved By The Bell Heartthrob, Mario Lopez missed the latest taping of Extra after apologizing for his controversial comments against raising transgender children while speaking to controversial heifer, Candace Owens..and he named Fast & Furious A-list star, CHARLIZE THERON as one of the people he slammed!!

He faced harsh backlash for suggesting it was "dangerous" for parents of trans children to support their offspring's transition

The 45 y/o apologized stating "The comments i made were ignorant and insensitive and i now have a deeper understanding of how hurtful they were"

Extra hosts, Renee Bargh and Tankia Ray addressed his absence and brought in GLAAD director Anthony Ramos and Dr Johanna Olson Kennedy, experts in trans youth development.

Olson-Kennedy said "I think the question about when do you know your gender, what age are you when you know your gender, is a very important one because we understand that people know their gender at the age of 3 or 4 years old"

Ramos said "I htink it is important to realize that people can say: Yes, i support the community, i have gay friends. My cousin or my aunt is a lesbian. I think it is wonderful. But at the end of the day, it is important to be educated on all aspects of our community"

Lopez's future is jeopardy as producers are fuming over his comments as they say they embrace the LGBTQ community and need support and love and that his comments don't reflect theirs

He made those comments back in June when Owens asked him on the new "trend" where Hollywood celebrities are "saying their child is picking their gender" and name dropped Charlize Theron who said her 7 y/o, Jackson identifies as a girl.

He said "I am trying to understand it myself, and please don't lump me into that whole gorup. I'm kind of blown away too. Look, i'm never one to tell anyone how to parent their kids obviously and i think if you come from a place of love, you really can't go wrong but at the same time, my God, if you're 3 y/o and you're saying you're feeling a certain way or think you're a boy or girl or whatever the case may be."

He appeared misinformed suggesting trans people were simply choosing a gender on a WHIM instead of recognizing them as people whose gender identity differs from the sex the person had or was identified with at birth

He continues "I just think it's dangerous as a parent to make that determination then, okay well then you're going to be a boy or girl. Whatever the case may be. it's sort of alarming and my gosh, i just think about the repercussions later on. When you're a kid, you don't know anything about sexuality, you're just a kid".

He said parents have to be the "adult" in the situation and wait until their child's "formative years" to make a determination about gender or transitioning

Lopez apologized and said he has and always has been an ardent supporter of the LGBTQ community as he states he will educate himself

Lopez has never been shy about his politics as he grew up devout Catholic and wore a John McCain for president on his appearance on Dancing With The Stars

Don't back down Mario.

Unfortunately some people are led to believe if you don't act the same way (a portion of) your birth gender does, that means something is wrong with you and you were born with the wrong body parts.

They should be teaching their kids that (as long as you aren't hurting anyone else) it's ok to like different things from the other boys/girls, not that you need to change who you are to conform to society

Do you want to hear some real shit? Do you want to KNOW some real shit?

When I was young, and not comfortable with myself - or the world - or anything really - and my mind was still ambiguous, and not concrete/stable (I could elaborate about how "weird" or obviously seemingly mentally/emotionally impaired I was, but most of it is not relevant. Had a lot to do with growing up with constant anxieties but just hear me out. Maybe if you can remember what you were like as a kid you know what I'm trying to get at) - I had a certain place of what I would put my finger on as a spot of depression/lonesomeness where I would take a look at who I am in the world, and the world around me, and I would just think wow life would be so much easier if I were a girl. I certainly didn't feel "manly", and everyone else around me had to make it such a competition, by the time I've grown up I realize most of those traits such as "acting like a man" aren't even manly at all to begin with. But what I am saying is -

If someone is growing up in an environment that they aren't even comfortable in being who they are, and thoughts/feelings such as wondering/preferring what it would be like if they were someone/something else, regardless of what it is - race, talents, "cool" vs uncool, maybe wishing they actually had friends? Dude I dunno what anyone's problem's are/may have been as a child, I only know what my problems were. But what I'm saying is if there are actual reasons that someone is not comfortable being themself, and they begin to SERIOUSLY dwell on these kinds of thoughts? You don't think there's a fucking problem there? Factors in their life that trigger them into a personal type of dissociation from being the person they are?

It could be different for anybody, weight issues, looks, whatever man. All I'm saying is that type of thinking is/was, atleast for me, more prone to surfacing when I was younger/coming into an adolescent. And I had a lot of fucking problems. But guess what?

I fucking love myself! I'm more than 100% comfortable with who I am at my current age, personality wise, everything. Why? Cause I grew the fuck into myself. Those kinds of thoughts don't enter my head in basically any capacity, mainly because they aren't relevant anymore or even realistic. And I know it's not the same for everybody, and it's never gonna be - regarding how comfortable with yourself you are as a person - but here is the big fucking point

I am 26 years old - do I think that those types of unbalanced mental/emotional instabilities should have been encouraged/fostered in an environment that is friendly to such possibilities to the point of becoming some kind of deep seated obsession with becoming the opposite sex at such a young age?

Hell no! That's basically like saying IT'S OKAY THAT SINCE YOUR LIFE IS FUCKED UP, or you LIVE with people who make your life fucked up and it's at the point where you wanna be someone else I accept that you would like to dissociate that far even though you don't know if you even like yourself yet. Whatever it is man, life sucks at one point or another or I guess maybe your whole life for everybody. Period. And if you do know who you are, yet don't like it by the time you are actually grown/an adult, then figure it the fuck out! You can do whatever the hell you want to do with yourself. But a kid doesn't even know who they are yet.

If I had a kid, and at three they told me they wanted to be the opposite gender, I would see if they still felt that way in a few years, say maybe preteen or so. Three year olds say what is on their mind at the time. At three, I just wanted to be left alone so I could read most likely.
