My former roommate always had 100+ tabs open on his laptop. He was insane. I get annoyed when I have even five open.

I never have a lot of tabs open on my laptop. Generally 3-5 tabs max.

I once browsed in my friends phone, and she had hundreds upon hundreds of different tabs open. She never closed them.

She also never taps on the actual internet browser app. She just clicks the google search bars and goes from there.

That's disgusting. I fully plan on revisiting each of my tabs and closing them after I'm done.

I generally either get interrupted mid-read or something pops in my head that I want to google so I pull up a new tab for later reading so I don't forget.
