And if it became public, they would lose money on it so they keep it to themselves.

Pretty sure a magic "cure all" cancer cure would be very expensive.

I don't get it either.

I work for big pharma. Trust me they'll stop at nothing to get every possible penny they can.

I think I understand.

Youre saying what if the treatment was so expensive that when the pharma companies were forced to make it for some reason, they would lose money.

Doesnt work. The tinfoil hat theory is what if it was so inexpensive that theyd lose loads of money because they couldnt sell expensive treatments that dont make it go away and required that it keeps being bought.

Back to making piles of money selling bonerpills to people who aren't dead now?

If Capitalism, in its infinite wisdom, has deemed that a cure for cancer is not profitable, then we must simply accept that it is forbidden knowledge it has not deigned to bless us with. There is nothing else to be done.

The pharma companies likely wouldnt bankroll the research to test something that was so expensive to make that theyd lose money on it. Even then, they wouldnt be able to afford bringing it to clinical trials (ie-they therefore wouldnt know that it actually worked)...duh.

Curing diseases has always been profitable, why would cancer be any different

Thats just like..your opinion, man!
There could totally be a magical formulation that interacts with every single cancerous cell, regardless of genetic mutations and physiological location, without also killing healthy cells...man...</sarcasm>

Lol. Funny you mention that..one of my responsibilities at my job is to test for viral presence in healthy cells in one of these studies. In other words, my job is to make sure the virus isnt attacking the healthy cells and is only infecting the gliobastoma.
Anyway, as RebelElite said, its very specific to brain cancer...glioblastoma specifically. Did you see the part of my comment where I went through the trouble to bold the words Every single? Also, its not a silver bullet even for glioblastoma.

I think at some point, they will just have higher success rates against more volatile cancers. Like pancreatic and brain.

You'll never get an outright cure for them.

Treatments will be less invasive and be more accurate. That's at least my hope.
