tbh I do think last year's field was more diverse, but we have some new faces and that could make it interesting.

I only wanted 50 for this given how nightmarish running a larger SMC can be. There's also the Redemption Island twist and that could be a big pain in the ass to manage with a larger number. I mean, I could find a way to work 25 mote games in if enough people demand it, but that would delay the contest and perhaps make it run longer than the intended 39 days.

I am doing this for you guys, however, so if enough people want another 25 games... then I would likely be willing to reorganize everything. Let me know!

tbh i think the 39 days and redemption island thing is really silly. but hey it's your contest. i'm too lazy to run any contest. and those games i wanted in probably wouldn't have made it far anyway so it's not that big a deal. though i do think 50 feels a bit small for such a broad category.

Okay, so the options are:
Increase it to 60 and keep Redemption Island
Increase it to 60 but nix Redemption Island
Keep things as they are

Part of why I limit the number of games is because I don't want to lose interest in this when things go down the home stretch. I've found that 39 days - which is the number of days in a Survivor season - is about my limit.

I really do like the Redemption Island twist for this, however. It's what makes this contest unique from other SMCs - and the format really shines here. It makes two interesting things happen at the same time. I'd rather not drop it. I am leaning toward keeping things the way they are, but since this is for you guys, if there's at least five people in addition to Bubu and Ava that want another 10 games in - and NOT also five people that oppose it like Duck - I'll cave.

I think 50 is a clean number, and it would be a swerve to suddenly change the number that's been in place from the beginning of nominations, so I would prefer keeping it at 50. I also prefer keeping Redemption Island for similar reasons - while a bit convoluted, it works nicely as a unique twist.

I'm not strongly opposed to the alternatives, though.
