Well.... what else would she be?? Thor is already established as a male character, she is not "one anf the same"

I see nothing wrong with addressing her in that manner.

"A title of Love and Thunder for a MCU Thor movie might sound overly tongue-in-cheek. Not that we dont love Marvels cheekier side, something we wish theyd explore more often. When Thor: Ragnarok did this a few years ago, fans wanted more as much as Chris Hemsworth did.

Now Marvel is acquiescing with Thor: Love and Thunder, albeit giving a showcase for the one and only Natalie Portman to play Jane Powers. We all know her character disappeared for a while in the Thor films, even if she also developed a very derogatory title.

Fans have been calling Portmans character Female Thor on social media of late. Director of the new project, Taika Waititi, wants fans to designate her into something more in tune with gender equality

When a few notable Thor fans on social media called out Portmans character as Female Thor, Waititi chimed in immediately and said shell be known as Mighty Thor.

So take heed and call her by her rightful title for the new movie. Not that we still dont have questions about whether Portman will steal the movie away from Hemsworth"

In the comics she gets cancer and I forget how but Thor's hammer ends up on the moon. There's a long line of people trying to pick it up and somehow even though she's in bed dying of cancer she ends up on the moon grabs the hammer and is judged worthy and becomes Thor. There's a whole story arc revolving around it, and I don't think anybody liked it.

No, it actually accelerates it. The only thing that was mildly interesting about that storyline what's the idea that the harder she fights for Earth the more it's killing her. However, in the end she literally gets resurrected by Odin and decides to go back to chemotherapy, totally ruining that whole point.

She's just "Jane Foster" anyway. The enchantment is "let he who is worthy to wield this hammer be given the power of Thor" (or something along those lines). She's not "Thor", she's someone with his power.

I care very very much that they decided to bring back worthless, sleepwalking, charisma-less Padme. One of the very best things about Ragnarok was that for the first time she wasn't there. Endgame featured the best use of her ever. She's in the background and doesn't open her trap. Her being back is enough to kill my interest.
Why couldn't they have brought back Thor's lady friend warrior that disappeared without explanation after Thor 2. Why not have her be Thor.
Or even Padme's idiot friend from the first two movies. She would work perfect as a comedic fish-out-of-water Thor that would compliment Waititi's style.

But no. That would make sense. That would be fun. Instead let's get this boring dope back, after she made such a stink about wanting to leave.

While she's using it yes. When she puts it down she starts killing again. Also the hammer destroy's the drugs inside of her trying to save her from cancer, so it get's worse everytime she uses it.

SHE'S NOT THOR. They're not recasting the role, Chris Hemsworth is still penned for Love & Thunder, he's set to reprise.

If anyone's salty it's the director because no one was disparaging the idea of Jane Foster gaining Thor's powers, they just gave her a designation to make it clear she's not the son of Odin.

Stormbreaker is important in its own right because it's just ridiculously OP as a weapon. Using it puts Thor on a cosmically powerful scale only rivaled by Captain Marvel. Thor without Stormbreaker can shoot lightning from his hands and summon storms. With Stormbreaker he can summon the Bifrost and travel anywhere in the Nine Realms.

Yeah I know that she's the sole Valkyrie now (even somehow getting Dani Moonstar to lose her Valkyrie powers for reasons)

I just don't ever remember her ceding her position during War of the Realms.

Stormbreaker doesn't give people powers when you lift it either, Mjolnir did that solely because of Odin's enchantment.

Thor would probably be totally irrelevant at this point if not for Waititi. Would they even have had a third film? Dude knows what he's doing. They've already nuked p much the entire Thor universe/cast so what's the issue with mixing it up? Thor himself is also with the gotg meaning there's every chance they want to save him for gotg3 first and foremost.

Also they never replicate the comics 1:1 so why bother trying to predict how things will go down and how bad it will be based on literally nothing.
