Pretty standard talk in the UK between the various countries, if they hear an English accent in Wales/Scotland and vice versa.

Well, not that common. But I found it hilarious when I visited Cardiff, seeing a girlfriend at the time, and got told to "piss of back to England" They didn't find my laughing very amusing.

While racist rhetoric is bad, it should in itself never be illegal. Policing speech that does not lead to direct harm against another is a slippery slope where jokes become hate speech depending on who is disliked at the moment.

i mean its great if youre far right and want to spout racist views without being told youre a racist. but otherwise freedom of speech over here is just common sense

I think Americans tend to be hypocrites too when talking about freedom but this is hands down the dumbest post of the topic.

The way he worded it, it sounds like hes saying only racists and abusive people care for freedom of speech and people should just fall in line with what is common sense when no, what separates us from governments that suppress their citizens to only speak what the government wants them to speak are ideals like freedom of speech and human rights even for criminals.
