This is the worst comment of the day. Nothing I've done in my life is even comparable to assaulting and blinding a guy for racist reasons.

Just cause he used a racist term doesn't mean he is proactively racist. People see red they say things that they don't mean

So a guy who does racist things and says racist things is not a racist, got it.

The 1940s and 50s are a lot different than 1988. Keep reaching though, you might be able to grasp on to something to justify his heinous acts.

The people involved hold a grudge too and feel hes never truly addressed the racial nature in what he did. He tried to get a pardon for it a few years ago and they wanted nothing to do with him

What you are referring to was a seperate incident and has nothing to do with the 1988 assault. Nice of you to clarify though.
