Yes

And I'm also worried about not living long enough to turn old and senile. :/

Honestly, being senile would make it easier for me to accept death. Death terrifies me more. :/

Nope. The men in my family typically don't go through that. We do have heart disease, tho.

My grandmother recently passed away after a >5 year decline with dementia.
It was a slow decline that started with a loss of fine motor function and memory problems and progressed to her spending her days unable to differentiate her dreams from reality and hallucinations. She was unable to communicate with at that point.
It was a weird sensation when she died because it kind of felt like she had been gone a long time, though it was so slow that the mourning didnt quite kick in 100% til the death.
So yeah, I worry, but I try not to spend my younger years worrying too much about it..

My dad just passed and while he didnt have dementia per se, thats what they thought it was. It turns out his kidneys were just really blocked up, but of course our stupid doctor decided it must be the anti-cancer meds he was taking so he took them off of those hoping to see his mind improve instead the cancer just came roaring back and then they found out a couple months later in the hospital that it was his clogged kidneys causing his brain issues.

Not really. My eating habits and health choices have pretty much insured that I'll be dead before 65. It's not like there's anything on the other side of that year that I look forward to anyway.
