Current Events > Finally beat Persona Q2. It was fun but I think 1 was overall better >_>

Pros:
-Music is still the tits
-Gameplay is fun
-Lots of characters to mess around with
-It's great to see FeMC get a lot of love in this game
-Hikari is precious and I want to protect her, unlike that bimbo skank Rei from Q1

Cons:
-The mazes feel less puzzley and it's mostly just straight paths with dead end branches. Only the last 2 mazes get any decent puzzles
-The encounters feel harder for some reason and are kinda tedious sometimes.
-There's a lot of characters but no fucking exp share. So unless you want to grind your balls off or use extremely rare and limited exp items, you're pretty much just just going to stick with your steady 5 characters while the other 20 just stay on your bench underleveled forever >_>
-Too much fucking dialogue. I pretty much started skipping dialogue around the 4th dungeon cuz everyone talks waaaaaaay too much about simple shit
-Cuz of the artstyle, everyone looks flat. So no big white girl titties on Ann to gawk at >_>
-Sidequests are tedious to do and it wastes a lot of time doing tedious busywork just to get something simple
-There's kind of a lack of polish. First off, the whole game is in subs. You can't rearrange your skill list unlike literally every persona game, and due to a programming oversight, once you reach lvl 99, you can no longer inherit new moves to your persona, so you're locked into the build you made.



Overall I enjoyed it but I felt like it couldve been better. Id only recommend if you're a big fan of Persona or you want to see literally the last notable 3DS game ever.

I feel like instant kills don't hit as often. Also Naoto isn't OP anymore. She doesn't learn instant kill spells. Only light and dark damage spells.

There's 2 ways to level up benched characters:
A. Do sidequests and all characters get exp. But it's a really small amount. You'll only gain like 20 levels on everyone if you do them all.

B. There are items called Growth Incense that level up a bench character to the highest level member. But they're extremely rare and limited (I think you only get 10 a playthrough) and it's kind of a waste to use it early. You're better off waiting until near end game, but then you don't use that party member the whole game, which defeats the purpose.

idk why they did it like this >_> They really should've had shared exp instead of this nonsense

There's only 1 path. You play as Joker in the story.

However, you can have any 5 characters in the party. My primary party was Haru, Shinjiro, Yukari, Yukiko, Akechi

There's like 4 new battle themes as well as free music dlc from 3, 4, 5, and Q1. And you can shuffle them as well so it's a different song everytime you enter a battle.

But I think the music dlc is only free for the first month >_>

Does it still do that stupid shit where it saves your maps separately so that they can get wiped?

Cause I lost my Persona Q maps twice and then never got around to finishing the game, and that's prevented me from even bothering to try the second one.

Should have just stuck with Strange Journey style maps, that shit saved to the cartridge like a normal fucking map

Nah, multiple systems and multiple SD cards. In fact I think one of the times my maps disappeared was when I system transferred to my new3ds.

Conversely, RF4 saves actively corrupt anything I run em on. Lost a computer harddrive because I decided to emulate the game. It's a running gag for me, anything I run the game on will die, but it's such a good game I will keep playing it

Can't wait for the Switch remake, my Switch hasn't been destroyed yet :3

FUCK, my copy of Persona Q1 straight up doesn't work anymore. Apparently all the first run carts had a defect that caused them to corrupt. So I guess I gotta rebuy Q1 digitally if I ever want to replay that game again
