People post the Buffalo thing all the time and I still dont get it. Like I get it can be different types of nouns but Im assuming that sentence would need a verb or something.

It all has to do with restrictive relative clauses and non-restrictive relative clauses.

You would only use the commas if you are talking about a specific buffalo (and not a whole general group).

Buffalo can mean three things: the city (n), the animal (n), and can be used as a verb meaning intimidate or bully (v).

Using different terminology, the sentence can be said this way:

[(Buffalonian bison) (Buffalonian bison intimidate)] intimidate (Buffalonian bison).
