Wasn't the comment made by Mystique? Yeah, it's kinda cringy, but it totally sounds like something she'd say.

I find it hard to believe that attendance instantly dropped off because someone said that women saved the men and that the team should be called X-Women. There's no way that joke is responsible for the decline.

If anything, people are probably disinterested because it's the last Fox film and it's a prequel. I never understood the appeal of a prequel. I've never seen it done right if it wasn't based off of material that was originally intended to be the first chapter. But the same thing happened to Transformers. The series ended on a prequel and nobody cared about giving further background information because they knew it was a dead series and that a new one was on the horizon.

It's like a reverse Endgame. Instead of having something which wraps the series up and ties together all loose ends, you have some random additional information to be inserted at the beginning of the book. It's like charging people for a preface. Only the die hard fans are going to be excited about that.

And they were definitely not catered to with this film lmao.

Um... no. The prequel is the start of the new series, not the end of the old one. Theyre still in talks for a Bumblebee 2 and Travis Knight is all but confirmed to be coming back to the franchise.

And Bumblebee was by far the best received Transformers movie critically as well

That was certainly the intention at the end of First Class. But in the comics Professor X cant walk due to his mutant powers. His mind becomes strong and his body becomes weak. Seems like Days of Future Past retconned First Class and went with the comic explanation. Although I dont really remember what reason Hank gave Logan for the walking thing.

Didnt Professor X start taking a drug that let him walk again but he couldnt use his powers anymore? And then they convinced him that he needed to embrace his powers again and give up walking for good?

I think the explanation in DoFP was that Hank developed a serum that allowed Charles to walk again but had the side effect of inhibiting his powers

And what happened when he was crippled? A girl that he had adopted and cared for like a little sister since before puberty literally turned her back on him when he could have used her support more than ever. Mystique is a huge fucking bitch.

If Larwence hadn't blown up because of Hunger Games, we wouldn't have had such a shitty character forced down our throats so much for all of the reboot movies, which would have been even better since she was clearly phoning it in.

Not to mention the fact that most of the problems in the 70s part of Days of Future Past were her fault in the first place.

I don't care if X-men ever get added to the MCU, but would be awesome if an animated series can get started up again. Been a decade since the last one and there are way too many characters and stories to be limited to only a couple hours every few years that would be wasted on retreading ProfX/Magneto and Wolverine re-introductions.

I'm glad I didn't go ahead with my project. A cosplayer I work with made a Dark Phoenix costume a while ago and I planned to do highly detailed drawings of her in Dark Phoenix poses in time for the movie's release.
