I thought mob mentality was people becoming aggressive in large groups.

Or more prone to aggression.

I started doing this when Mrs. DevsBro and I played through the first seven Final Fantasies amd it has stuck with me ever since.

When I'm playing a video game, it's we, us, our, etc.

I suppose it also kinda makes sense if you think of it as the player and the character but not every game has an explicit player character.
