Why would that even matter? Most hockey players are from Europe and Canada, probably close to a third of the MLB players are of Latino origin. Why the fuck would the fans thank the nations the players were born in? This is stupid.

These are all great posts but I feel like the missed obvious is why haven't cities thanked other cities were played in.
