Donald Trump is at risk of losing the traditionally red state of TEXAS with a new Quinnipiac University Poll that found that voters preferred Joe Biden at 48 to 44 against Trump!!

If the level of support translated to a positive outcome for Biden, it would see the Republican stronghold turn blue, a shift the southern US state has not seen in 40 YEARS!!

Voters in Texas have voted Red since 1980 asa the last Democrat to win there was Jimmy Carter in 1976

Biden was the only Democrat ahead of Trump there so there's no guarantee it will go blue

The figures showed it would still be a too close to call race with any of the top 7 challengers representing the Democratic Party in the 2020 race nipping at Trumps heels.

The next strongest was surprisingly Elizabeth Warrne who found her only losing by 1 point and then Mayor Pete Buttigieg at 42 to 44.

Biden was the overall favourite among Democrats and continued to hold a commanding lead followed by O'Rourke and Sanders and Warren

While Trump still has a ways to go, his approval rating has steadily risen to 46% from all time low of 30 in 2017 all thanks to his handling of the economy however only 37% still said they would vote for Trump

Would you be Shocked if Texas ever went BLUE?

At the rate demographics are shifting, Texas could very well go blue by 2024 or 2028.

imagine paying attention to polls after Trump won the presidency and Morrison won the Australian federal election (the Liberal party lost 126 straight opinion polls)
