I just wrapped up Calc 2 in the spring, and they're offering Linear Algebra as a summer class. I decided to knock this one out to help speed things along

Any tips or advice from anyone that's taken it?

This should be easy compared to calculus. I don't think linear algebra covers quadratics or exponents.

My programmer friends in college complained endlessly about Linear Algebra. That may have just been because the professor was a notorious hardass.

I don't know anything about it but I've heard it's hard as fuck. Lube well, that's my advice.

That's what I heard about Calc 2 as well. It was challenging, but not ball breaking

TBH LinA should just be called Math for English Majors. You spend more time defining spaces than doing math.

Much easier than Calculus

also have fun with MATLAB

MATLAB fucking sucks

I had to use it for one of my intro engineering classes. I'm glad the physics classes use Python instead

Difficulty will depend entirely on the level of your familiarity with matrices.

More like computational math ends at about basic calc. From what I've done, most maths end up being about proofs and analyzing concepts and very little computation

Well that's a big fat 0 for me friend

Is this Linear Algebra for engineers or a math class?

It's a math class

My college only offers engineering specific math courses for a particular subset of engineering degrees. Mine is more physics based

Well, I mean the calculus I taught wasn't specific to engineers, but it definitely was a course catered towards engineers.

I took differential equations and linear algebra at the same time, and my linear algebra class was sort of introduction to proofs and things like that while my differential equations class was all "Here's a new type of DE and how to solve it".

I remember none of the materials, but it was my last and easiest Math course needed as an engineering student.

I imagine you're describing something like applied calc, right? My uni offers applied calc and then regular calc 1-3

Linear Algebra, Calc 3, and DiffEq are the only dedicated math classes I have left, and I definitely didn't feel like doubling any of them up haha
