Tarzan = King of the Jungle
Jane = Queen

So Jane should be a Disney Princess. (Also she's one of Disney's hottest characters.)

I'm surprised at that as well. Jane and Meg got disrespected.

More often than not, the princesses tend to be based in locations thst no longer have a monarchy.

The Briish royals are too famous worldwide that any potrayal of even a fictional English princess would put a spotlight on them.

And Disney being American, I doubt they would want to give the English monarchy much attention. 1776 and all that.

Do...you think Americans are still bitter towards the British for how they treated us in colonial times or something?

Makes perfect sense, considering they've been our closest ally for about a century now

I won't lie, typically the modern glorification of royalty makes my blood boil, I thought we were past that.

Fictional depictions such as Disney or Mario/LoZ don't bother me though.

Nor bitter, just doesn't make much sense for a distinctly American brand to glorify the British/English monarchy.

Maybe a film based in Arthurian Britain.

In Walt Disney World, they station Anna and Elsa in the Norway section of EPCOT.

I assume Disney changed it up.

You got Alice. Even if she isn't technically a Princess, she is a staple at the parks and is more popular than a handful of actual princesses.

Depending on the category she is still considered a Disney Princess, as other have explained being an actual princess isnt a requirement
