I don't know why so many people seem to think Rose died. I'm pretty sure she's still alive. And even if it turned out by Episode 9 she was toasted in the previous film, there's still not enough evidence either way in Episode 8 to say for sure.

Do people really think she died? Is the main evidence that shes not on any of the posters? I can see that, but yeah the movie itself didnt imply she had died.

People hope she is dead or was killed, no one is saying she died in TLJ.
Could also be they wrote her out of the story since people hated the character, and most agree the wrong sister died, Paige should have lived and Rose should have died. Rose didn't die. But all her character can do now is introduce an awkward love triangle bc she likes Finn, but Finn likes Rey. So her character will only serve to bog down the next film.
