Or have you ever used jetbriges/airways/gangway/what ever you call it?
Appears my flight today will be with stairs to board, cant say for unboarding right now.
I have disembarked with the stairs in London Ontario when i was 12 or 13, that was cause it was a smaller airport.

Yeah, I've done it a few times. It doesn't really make much of a difference. Just make sure you have a coat or something in your carry-on in case of bad weather.

And with that...pow! I'm gone!

Any small plane requires this.

Have you only ever flown in big planes? Must have never gone to a small town.

Every airplane I've had to take from my local airport has been a relatively small propeller plane and there is no way it's connecting a bridge to one of those.

Yes. Tokyo to Fukuoka. I said "This is fucking weird." and some Americans (I think USAF) started laughing.

It's actually rather impressive you were able to recognize your particular bag out of the pile. I've seen them loading it before but never picked out mine from the pile.

Spotted my bag! https://imgur.com/gallery/ny8aYvl

Was super easy barely an inconvenience. Right on top and with the green handle and red tag it stands out.

From DC3s when I was young, to 747 stairs at Tokyo Narita a few years back when all the jetways were full.

I think another part of it is terrain. The airport is rather small, and making a big airport in mountains would probably be rather cost prohibitive.

Like the take off lane basically just ends at the edge of a mountain.

I think in my case the plane was just older. Never thought my first time on a plane it woukd be one with propellers

Yes, almost as often as jetbridges. My home airport is quite small and I like visiting smaller locations. Buses are common on certain airports. In tiny airports with no elevated terminal, passengers just walk all the way from the terminal to the staircases.

It's always good when you can see them doing that. I was told that they transfer my bag for me, but it turns out they didn't. I almost left it in Tokyo on my way south.
