Original needs a current gen sequel maybe with Culex as the main villain.

Super Mario RPG

In terms of presentation, it's exactly how I feel Mario should be. And after having a quest which was so large that it took Mario and Bowser teaming up to defeat the bad guy, it's kinda hard to go backward and just have Bowser himself as the foe. Paper Mario's partners haven't nearly the same level of personality as Geno and Mallow.

I guess it's really a battle of gameplay versus presentation and, shallow though it may be, I'm going to err in favor of presentation.
