There is usually one winner of the spelling bee, and sometimes there is a two-way tie, but this year we have EIGHT WINNERS who outlasted the competition for HOURS until the bee had to be ended because they could not best these kids.
The bee ended with 47 consecutive correctly spelled words. Each winner gets the trophy and the $50,000 prize.
