Only had the chance to fly it yesterday. Pretty fun, but man it's pretty difficult. Think it will take a while to get a hang of.
It has a mount for go pro type cameras, so I'll probably look to getting one of the older ones one of these days.

I got a Mavic last year and love it. I take it everywhere when traveling. The first flight over a huge waterfall scared to crap out of me because I kept thinking I was about to crash it and be out $1000. Honestly I still get nervous sometimes, but I'm really careful with it

Make sure you read up where you can fly. Plenty of assholes have ruined it for others to where there are more and more no fly zones

Ya, I do need to register it with the faa as well.
Mine cost $90, so losing it wouldn't be too scary, but ya, that's what I was thinking about earlier. I could see me taking it on a hike somewhere and fucking up and losing it down a mountain

My co worker bought a $600 drone because his friend bought one.

Before eh could fly the $600 one, he bought a $1200 model. Theyre both still in the box, almost a year later.

Better aftermarket/camera/power/software intelligence

The parrot drones works off a smartphone app. I'd prefer a proper controller. I have the extended range antenna/controller that you plug your phone/tablet into, but it's not as slick as i'd like.
