He sucked in Smash 4 because he was basically broken. Stuff like his grab being nonexistent... they fixed some of it (not all of it) and decided to nerf him to boot. Also Smash Ultimate is a rushdown game first and foremost because of the meta and engine. A trap/projectile character is obviously going to be food for the top tiers --- I'm Commander Shepard, and this is my favorite user on the Citadel. I think he's high tier. A Pac-Man player made it to top 8 at a supermajor and also took down Cosmos' Inkling. There's also some crazy Pac players in Japan.
