I am going to an AA meeting, simply to have people to socialize with on a Friday night. I have nothing else to do and no one to hang out with and am so desperately lonely.

I post this to let anyone know who thinks they are a loser, there are always bigger losers than you.

Have you checked to see if your area has any social groups or mixers?

Theres probably ways to meet people before going full Fight Club

I don't know where I'd find that stuff. I checked Meetup and there's only a few in my area, all 50+ gatherings

Every try looking at bulletin boards instead of online? There's usually stuff happening that they just post flyers of. Like recently I seen a guitar class that anyone who has a guitar is welcome to join that I thought of going to.
