Would he have had enough if he doubled up?

I think James would have still won...not sure though

Not at the end I don't think, but earlier in the game he got a daily double and didn't make it a true daily double.

If the had bet all his money instead of just $6K, all other things being equal, Nate would've had a $2000 lead going into final.

Casual viewers don't really care or take into account wagering strategies and that the closeness of the final scores isn't really indicative of how close a game really was. Nate's $10K final jeopardy bet made sense because, knowing James is almost certainly going to bet enough to guarantee a victory with a correct response, his wager allows him to win if James misses whether or not he gets it right himself. Whereas if he risks it all, he ends up with a closer score and a bigger payday if he wins, but then he also has to get it right to have a chance.

James isn't going to get daily doubles/final jeopardy wrong though, or at least you have to assume he won't.

The other guy could have easily won today but wimped out.

He obviously wasn't sure about himself in that category

Plus James looked not good at the beginning of the double jeopardy but picked it up after he got the daily double

You're most likely going to lose to James no matter what, which is why you have to bet it all on all wagers and hope you get an easy question.

Normal Jeopardy strategy is thrown out the window against James.
