I really wouldn't get a Pixel over any other flagship Android device or iPhone.

The camera is really its only selling point, but any modern phone released in the last several years will take decent picture. Even with the camera, there's still hardware features that are missing such as optical zoom and a super wide angle lens. It also can't do 4K60 for some reason even though other phones that use the same chipset are capable of such.

I have a Pixel 3a XL, the camera is amazing. It's not a technological marvel or anything but it runs incredibly smooth. The battery life is the 3rd best thing about it after the price and camera but the battery easily lasts all day. It also has a headphone jack which is a deal breaker for me and I personally don't like the other Android skins unless they're a lightly modified stock version. But some things I don't like about the phone is the storage size, micros SD slot would make it a near perfect device for the price. Not water proof although I don't plan on getting it wet and that's about it. I would recommend going to a Best buy and playing with one before making a decision.

The Android experience from the company that created Android might be better than Samsung's phones and iphones

Well the rollout of the Pixel 3 last year was plagued by software bugs and RAM issues, among others. You'll get software updates faster on Pixels versus other Android devices, but my problem is that Pixels lack many features present on those other devices. Google often introduces features to stock Android that companies like Samsung had for years.
