Sony is also ready to end it as we can see with Playstation Now on PC. If they combine stuff like that with streaming that's a big advantage. I'd love to play games elsewhere without needing a console if it's possible. Right now it has to be a 'Play Anywhere' title. All Microsoft first party games since around 2017ish are Play Anywhere. There's the odd third party game that also supports it but it isn't too common. Here's the list https://www.xbox.com/en-US/games/xbox-play-anywhere Any ones you own on PC can be downloaded on Xbox as well.
